Hey Everyone, Naman here, Welcome to Actualizing.Life!
Let’s kick this off with a brief intro —
I was a machine learning engineer, and I quit my job this January to find meaning and purpose in life.
I dive deep into the ocean of self-dev topics — psychology, spirituality, philosophy, etc. I then build systems to optimize my life from the pearls of wisdom I fish up.
Was the para above a bit metaphorical? This is my writing style.
There are times when you can superimpose one situation onto another seemingly unrelated one, such that it perfectly captures the essence. I particularly relish when I find these fitting metaphors.
I am always looking for actionable insights, drawing parallels to my life, and applying what I learn.
I firmly believe in the aphorism — To know and not to do is not to know.
I did my first Mindfulness Meditation (Vipassana) course Four years ago. It is a 10-day residential retreat where you go totally off-grid. No internet, no phones, no talking, and no dinner. All you do is focus on your breath and bodily sensations.
Sounds tough, right?
It is until you start reaping the rewards, becoming calm and tranquil. After that, it becomes exciting. Since then, I’ve gone to many more Vipassana retreats, and it’s been a transformative experience every single time!
I tinker around, exploring new stuff, experimenting with my life, and sharing what works. The blog's name, Actualizing.Life, hints at the contents — learnings on my journey towards Self-Actualization!
